Its Wednesday, Post on
Hey it is Carla,
Just thought I would try to start the thread for today. I just got back home from watching Lily for the day. Took her to school then came home and went to Sams Club for tires for our Vibe, Then went to BJ's and baught some groceries, then to Marshalls to look around. Nothing there.
Then Picked up Lily at Taiquondo and went to her house. Mom was in Orlando all day at a converance.
I think I may be kicking a kidney stone. Time wil tell!!!! I am drinking cranberry juice like I have stock in it!!!!! It feels just like labor pains!!!!!
Well of to be for me. So Post on Folks.
Carla
Gee, Carla..you sure are getting a few health challenges lately! I'm so sorry to hear this. BTW, thank you!! The package arrived!!! I am so pleased and grateful!!
whata day, Tuesday! three hours in the dentists chair..ugh! then downtown St Kitt's to get Mother's health card..got a great parking spot..almost unheard of..and only waited 25 minutes and her card will arrive in two weeks! yayy! that was alot easier than I'd expected. Then picked up my new support stockings and signed insurance forms. The bad news is that i had to pay $1600.00 for the lab fees upfront for the dentist...eeeegggad!Then sorority dinner meeting..I ended up ordering liver and brought 2/3 of my meal home for Wednesday's supper.
Today (Wednesday) I have alot of reading to catch up on, 200 more sentences to write and then I will be out shopping for a wheelchair for Mom and then visit Mother to return her Health card and her other important ID that I needed to renew her Health Card. SOO glad all that is done now. I will also be helping her fill out her week's menus for her meals, wash her dishes and clean her bathroom since she cant seem to deal with that anymore.
Now we are just sitting waiting for a bed opening. I am content knowing that this will come 1-2 months... cannot wish for sooner as it means some poor soul will have to die to vacate a room and I just cannot wish anyone that. I would rather patiently take care of Mom daily until a bed in assisted living becomes available without asking for more.
Prayers, hugs, swinging chickens and positive healing vibrations to all who need or wish some.

Guess we're the early birds, but you both have me beat - lol
Carla - feel better soon...hope the cranberry juice works for you.
Nancy - good luck with your mom. When I read about a few of you helping to care for your elderly moms, it makes me miss both my mom and dad. They were the most wonderful parents anybody could wish for. I was so blessed.
I've been waking up at 2 a.m. since the time change. DH alarm goes off at 3:45, so I guess I'm just not adjusted yet. Instead of laying there wide awake, I just got up at 2:45 a.m. I figure I might as well get an early start on the day - heck, no wonder I'm tired at 7:30 p.m. - lol
Happy Veteran's Day to all who served/serves our country!
Blessings, Debbie
carla-hugs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
nancy it sounds that things are working- i know hwo you dreaded that medical card thing...whew!

michael's legs are both bothering him now...
today is worker's comp udate doc visit- if he gets on board about the left shoulder we will attempt to add that to his claim....
also today we pick up my rental truck and were sposed to spend the afternoon loading said truck--well-by the time we get home with the bird cage who will feel like it? and then michael will work on the cage and not help me....oh poor me!!! waaaahhhhhh.....nope- that didn't help--sorry!
still no schedule for aneurism repair...maybe they are just waiting to see if it bursts?
these extra hours at work are getting to me already and i have two more weeks of it...something has to shake!!!
ok- let's see- gratitude--ah yes! i am off work today and getting paid --so i truly do wish to say thank you to all of the men and women who have fought to keep our country free!!!! this is not lip service....thank you!
sending out hugs and prayers...need to go catch up on the boards.....
I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Good morning all. I also am fortunate enough to have both parents still alive. But I also count myself fortunate that I live 1600 miles away. I am sorry if I offend anyone, but you don't know my parents. I am glad my father has my sister to take care of him. He is in a nursing home and she visits every day, plus is very active on the residents relatives board. She plans activities for the residents for just about every Saturday. My father and I had a big disagreement many years ago. We have both moved on, but the pain is still there. And my mother. That's another story. She has never accepted Mary, and only because I moved to Texas. Mary took her son away. I keep telling her to get over it, but I guess that doesn't help. Mary has tried everything. Writing letters, calling, etc. Nothing works. Oh well, her loss.
Macon is doing well. Mary left the belly band off of him all day yesterday and there were no accidents. He is very playful, but rough (because of his size).
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!
So many people have problems lately. Or not enough time to fit everything in.
We took our dog to the vet and he has water in his lungs and on the xray it showed some white spots in his chest. They said it could be cancer or a rare fungus infection. They had to send blood to a lab and wait two days before it comes back. He just lays there and breathes heavy. They gave us three different medicines for him. The total bill for yesterday was 238.00. Money I don't have but hate to see the poor guy suffer. I don't know what the out come will be we just have to take it day by day.
Today I go to the doctors. Not looking forward to it. I have a drive of an hour there and an hour back. I am seeing a couselor today and a shrink, lol... I have depression and it was recommended by the surgeon that did my weight loss to see someone. I am on medication but don't see too much difference to tell you the truth.
Well, prayers to all.. and don't get frustrated over little things they can always wait. Take care of the bigger problems first. Hope all is well with everyone.

I am on my way. What a ride it has been.

Hang in there, Mary. We're all there for you. Sorry about your dog.
Carla, sounds like you've rallied from your illness somewhat. you're an awfully busy lady, what will you do when you have to work all day?
Margo, sorry to hear about your misfortune with the bird cage. How long a drive is it to FlatRock for you? Bummer.
George, Glad Macon is working out for you. When my three terriers are gone I was thinking of rescuing one, but they don't do well in cold weather, and northern Michigan isn't what you exactly call warm! Good for you and Mary. I hope he brings you lots and lots of happiness.
Debbie, Go back to bed silly. How can you possibly function without sleep?
I've got a bit of running to do today. I need to get my car washed, go to the post office for stamps, go to the jewelers to buy a couple of Pandora charms for my DIL's birthday, visit my aunt in the nursing home and something else which I've forgotten now. Hopefully when I get to town I'll remember.
Hope everyone has a blessed day.

Carla....a kidney stone!?!? Yikes....come on you've had enough this past week. Feel better!!
Margo.... hang in there. You have so much going on I admire that you are making the choice to find something to be grateful for. It's a good thing. I need to do it more often. I think I'll start today.
My furniture that was supposed to be delivered delivered today will be coming next week. Probably better....it's supposed to be pouring all day here and I'd rather it not get wet nor do I want men with muddy shoes walking all over the house.
I'm baking bread this morning.....just starting to smell good. We'll have some with breakfast in about an hour (late breakfast today)
We are going plant shopping today. Buying about 80 plants - azaleas, boxwoods, hibiscus, plus about 20 Sweet Viburnum to create a hedge or fence for privacy along the back, plus 4 or 5 citrus trees. I'll pick up a bunch of smaller annuals and perennials to fill in. The guy who will put new sod on the entire property next week will do all the plantings... I cannot wait to have a full lawn and gardens again. The whole reason I went into semi-retirement and moved here was so I could play in a garden full time.
Guess I better go and start brewing a pot of tea so it's ready for the warm bread.
Hope everyone has a great day!!!
